Outdoor Adventure

Hi. This is just a quick photo shoot I did this weekend. I hope you like it.

(This picture is my favourite)

I love this photo because of the cool shadow in the background.

It was windy that day so you can see her hair blowing around. :)

Awesome October: Movie Night!

Hi there. Hazel, Robin, and Jordan had a movie night yesterday evening and watched lots of horror movies in honour of Halloween.

And you can't have a movie night without homemade popcorn!

Jordan's Birthday

Hi. Today we have a photo story that should have been posted two days ago because it was Jordan's official birthday. However, here it is in Jordan's point of view:

I woke up later than usual in the morning, looked around, and thought to myself, where am I? I quickly remembered I was at my grandparent's house for Thanksgiving. So groggily I put on my clothes for the day. I concealed my messy braid by putting a beanie over top, promising myself that later I would fix my hair.

I opened the door of my room to find Robin standing there with a troubled look on her face.
"Morning" I mumbled and sleepily rubbed my eyes.
"Good morning. Happy Birthday!" She replied and smiled.
"Hm? Who's birthday is it?" Then I remembered, but it was too late and Robin was ready with her answer.
"Yours silly." She laughed nervously. And then I remembered the rest of it. We were stuck at my grandparent's house a day longer than we planned. We were suppose to have driven home yesterday but there was a big storm and lots of trees had blown down, causing the one highway we could take home, to be blocked.
"Has the storm let up?" I asked hoping for the best.
"Yes but they still need to clear the roads."
Robin patted me on the shoulder.
"So that means I'm stuck at my boring old grandparent's house on my birthday." I sighed. I didn't mean to sound ungrateful or mean but I couldn't help it as I was expecting to be home by now and waking up to pancakes and presents, not broken trees and delays

I sank down to the ground and Robin did the same.
"I'm sorry Jordan, but we can still have fun here. How about hide and go seek?"
"Why not" I answered.
"You seek, I hide." Said Robin
So I counted to 60...
(20 games of hide and go seek, and a change of hairstyle later)
"I'm pooped" I said and flopped onto an over sized pillow.
"I know something that will cheer you up." Then Robin ran off into the kitchen. I sat up ready for anything.
"Ta-da. Your grandma made you a cake and it looks pretty good considering she made it on really short notice."
"It looks delicious! Thanks Grandma" I yelled so she would her me from the kitchen.

"Robin put her arm around me and said "Happy Birthday Jordan."

And it did turn out to be a happy one after all.

Pizza is Love, Pizza is Life!

Hi everyone, I have been doing some crafting. Yay! Fun! Anyway, I made pizza. Very creative I know, ;)
I have made pizza before in many different ways, using clay and... Um and another type of clay... So this is only actually my second time but whatever. Enough of my talking. Let's see some pictures. Yay, fun!
I did some editing on these (as you can probably tell)

Chestnut the kitty wants a slice.

These pictures are making me hungry. :P

Mmmmm. Jordan don't leave us waiting! Just eat the pizza!

Well too bad no more pictures and that may just be because Jordan is actually incapable of eating something without getting her whole face covered and nobody wants to see that. ;) but maybe it's just the fact that I need to go to bed and I have no more time to take pictures. You'll never know.... Du du duuuu. Drumatic, exit! Que the smoke!

Jordan's 2nd Adventure

Displaying image2.JPG
Hi everyone. Jordan is in need of another adventure before schools starts in September. So we are having a second adventure.
For those of you that don't know: in May Jordan was looking for something new and exciting to try so we got you to provide comments so we could choose an activity.
Next she did the activity and we posted the results in photo story form. You can check out her previous adventure here, and here.
I will post which one I have chosen on the 27th and the photo story on the 29th.
Be creative and tell me your ideas in the comments below.

Jordan's Adventure: Planting a Mini Garden

Hi!
So today Jordan completed her adventure! This photo story is in Jordan's perspective (she writes in blue).

Hi everyone! Today for the first time ever I gardened. It was so fun, but tiring,
(after this I am going to relax) ( :
The first thing I did was hammer in two stakes at opposite ends with a string running through them. I did this so I can keep my row straight.
The row.
Next I grabbed my garden tool to a dig long row in the ground to put my seeds in.

I stood next to my finished row.
Looking good, I thought.
Then I grabbed my seed packets and opened them up.

I took a few seeds and put them in my hand. They were so small!
I sat down and started sprinkling them in the rows.
When I finished, I grabbed my watering can and gave each of my seeds a little drink.
Finally it was time to cover the seeds up with dirt. So I grabbed my shovel and pushed the dirt lightly over the seeds.

 Time to water again.
Chestnut the cat had come to cheek out my work.
She rubbed up against my leg while I watered.
Next the final step in my gardening adventure.
Marking my row so I remember what I planted.
I stood back and admired my work. That was fun I thought. Maybe I should try another adventure.
Do you think we should do another adventure some time? Please comment below.
